Challenge
Varied framing, roofing, sheet metal, and drywall installation while navigating a rigorous historical restoration, Completing the task with a focus on historic compliance while simultaneously keeping the building operational and safe for public and private use during the renovation process.
Solution
Performed as General Contractor on the entire project. Managed the installation of new elevator, soil stabilization, structural concrete, stone & block work, ornamental iron work and high and low voltage electrical. Self performed structural needs in support of the entire elevator addition. Sourced and installed 60 Mil fully adhered tapered roofing system. Exterior architectural sheet metal self performed and installed. Interior finishes included steel studs and all drywall installation.
Benefit
Providing new handicap access which was had been previously inaccessible, added to the security and safety of the building for additional fire escape exits.
